It's because most people are snobs, arrogant and elitists. They don't except you and try to one up you at every corner. They set expectations for you as an excuse to disrespect you, once you succeed and exceed they get angry and make you a target. People are nervous, because their environment seems unforgiving and unhelpful, everything your fault plus you are a bottomless barrel. So they nervous about what could happen to them and so they want security and abundance, so they can imagine getting through problems. Other than that your points are true. Everyone is like "yeah, but why is it not my turn already".

I agree and decided to take a massive pay cut and work at a non profit. I actually have time to myself at night now, before it was all for business. Persuit of money. you really cant slow down being an entrepreneur and that life just didnt fit me. I wanna spend time on myself, in my hobbies and lerning life skills and staying out of others people business lol. my 40 hours I help the homeless, mentally ill and disabled. Its the most fullfilling ive ever been. I hope more men realize serving others less fortunate than you will be your saving grace and the worlds too. We need human connection, we need compassion and leadership. This self-perpetuating rat race we put ourselves in serves no one but the banks.

Depends on what you define “good things in life”. Some people are completely happy being in the same town all their life and some people traveling. Dont judge and don’t compare. Some people enjoy saving and some spending. I’ve lived long enough to know that “Living life” is as individualistic as individuals. A note on the water hardness from someone in socal (and this has been my personal battle for years now): everywhere you live in the US use the site EWP (3rd party investigator to the EPA) and put in your zipcode. It's horrifying :'D Cities and counties also post water hardness and quality reports online. LA/San Diego/southern california has harder than granite water. Norcal doesn't. the problem (well there are many) is that 1. most people don't know anything about water hardness and how it affects your skin, hair, and kidneys and at best people focus on the chemicals and other stuff in the water (hardness is primarily calcium or limescale). 2. If you have asian hair (or that thicker/smooth "doesn't absorb shower water as easily") you won't notice it as quickly and immediately via hair color changes or hair texture changes. For me (auburn hair that absorbs everything) it's noticeable immediately. Most apartments in LA tend to be above a commercial floor with food places and therefore have a water softener for the building. So depends on where you live but you could just have a shower filter (the 2 good ones are sprite and jolie) you install on your showerhead and you're good to go. 3. shower filters don't soften water. They might get out the uranium (yup here in San Diego we have a uranium problem, you read that right, parts of LA have major PFAs problems and lead problems) out, but not soften the water. Anywhere the makes coffee is going to have a water softener so try to live in the same building as a coffee shop in hard water places, restaurants when you go out to eat you should be fine for the same reason. The only solution for home though, which is a PITA in an apartment is to install a point of service water softener: Water on the Go (iirc) makes ones for RVs and boats that aren't that expensive and the smallest size is fine for an apartment shower. Hook it up with a shower tube and maybe an adapter and you're good to go, I have to re-salt mine every 3mos, but for some it could be as much as once a month. The company is very responsive and will even walk you through setup if you need help. This isn't an ad, I just tried solving this problem for years and nothing was online until one random helpful reddit post. For sink there are companies that make a littler filter/salt softener adapter that screws onto your tap. They're ok. Under the sink RO systems or similar are better but more expensive. For laundry so your clothes don't get hard and destroyed use Calgon (you can get it on amazon in bulk cheapest) and 1-2caps depending on your water hardness. If you're noticing, probably 2. It's not fabric softener, it's liquid water softener. Alternatively: vinegar. Vinegar also is a temporary solution for your hair and skin too....just dilute it down somewhat so you don't burn any cuts that you might have missed. Sounds insane, feels insane, family in eastern europe does this and it works. For dishwasher I pour a splash of vinegar in there with each use and it works wonders (dw nothing smells like vinegar). For toilet cleaning you'll have to get the black bottle lysol toilet cleaner (iirc black version is meant for iron buildup/hard water) and just put on your calendar to clean it 1-2x a month even if you think you don't need to so it never gets too hard (literally). Great video btw, found this while looking up a move to Vegas for a company I'm skeptical about (I work in games/entertainment so I'd rather not leave socal but our industry has been bleak for a while and I'm not necessarily opposed to moving) and seems you confirmed a lot of my suspicions :/ Socal has our problems, but some are bigger issues than others for those of us under 40 with no kids.

Her home cooked meals beat alll the lil restaurant spots in tokyo i been too. It made me appreciate the simplicity of traveling. Her House was too cozy
